A standard E83W panel van surfaces
Photos sent in by Alan in October 2005.
Thanks to Alan for sending this set of photos in, showing a standard Thames van that he bought in October '05. Alan's brother bought one of my project pickups a few weeks ago, and his son hunted down a rare Luton bodied E83W.

As found
Alan looks suitably pleased with his van find.

Loaded onto the trailer
Judging by the lack of bonnet badges and smooth edge wings, we're probably looking at a late 40s Fordson version.

Some corrosion is present
The passenger side rear arch is worse than the other side, but handily Alan was able to secure a stash of handmade repair panels to aid the restoration of this little van.

Drivers side
The drivers side is marginally better but will need as much work as the other side.

Interestingly this van is fitted with the pickup's wider 16" rims rather than the usual 18" diameter rims that came on vans as standard.

In the back
The original doors have been removed but came with the van, and new back doors came along too!!

Inside the cab
The usual scene inside an unrestored E83W, although the heater and screen demister (hanging down) are both aftermarket accessories.
Alan is keen to find out the history of this Fordson - the registration is FJF 340 - does anyone remember it? It seems to have last been used in the Leamington Spa area, before Alan transported it back home to Tyneside where it rests now.
