An early Fordson operated by the American Ambulance - Great Britain is seen here receiving some paintwork attention by a young lady.
Despite being a van, this example is on the pickup-spec (wide) 16" rims, instead of the usual 18 inchers found on 10cwt vans. It also has a nearside step, ring bonnet catches, and separate door lock.

Here a gent from the Ministry of Information is seen in his E83W asking directions from a bloke on a bike, perhaps to avoid the road that has been blocked by snow. Again an early van, this one fitted with some kind of roof rack, and running on the usual 18" rims.

Another Ministry of Information Ford van, may well be the same vehicle and same driver. Note the window winder on the drivers door, only the very early E83Ws had the luxury of wind-up windows. The rear windows have also been covered up, so maybe this MoI van carried some hush hush gear that wasn't to be seen by the public?
