The coachwork on this van looks like a locally built body, from the doors and going right back.
|
|
The front end tinwork looks to be in good order, the grille for example has no obvious damage. The headlamps look like they have been replaced at some time.

The non-Ford easi-clean type wheels fitted to this van, suggest that perhaps it is running non-standard axles, or at least hubs..

|
The interior looks like it has led a long hard life. At least it looks to be more or less all there and not missing anything vital.

The dashboard ammeter is missing in this view, fortunately these aren't too difficult to replace as they are also used on Pops and Prefects..

Viewed from behind it shows that this E83W has normal van back doors, yet the section below the doors, as with the front doors and main body sides, look to be locally built.

The interior must have been quite comfortable when it was brand new. Was it used as some kind of minibus or taxi?

Overall the wings don't look bad at all, the lamps look like they could be later replacements.
Thanks again for sending these great photos over, much appreciated.
